Woohoo! Magically, my calendar is clear at this time. I'm super excited to see him in person. And you're right, Tom. For those of us who came from Medium, the fact that he's willing to be so transparent and JOIN us is amazing.

I'll also try to join the live ❤️

Love the transparency and buddy-culture, openness.

Michael Thompson told me that he asked Medium to support him somehow with the book, a newsletter email or so, nothing.

Medium wouldn't support individual writers was the answer.

Sad to hear this.

He helped build the platform, similar to Tom.

Love Substack so far!

Their values and culture vibe more with me than the ones from Medium.

Happy weekend ❤️

I’d love to know if Substack will bring back the stats on followers? This figure is important because many people begin by following someone, then converting to subscribing after a while.

Thanks!

Woah this is massive 🙌

I’m so excited! So many questions:

1) What is Substack is going to be in the next 1-2 years. Vision wise.

2) New features in pipeline? What should we know as writers/ content creators/newbies.

3) What trends are you seeing in content consumption and creation?

4) How is Substack planning to compete with other newsletter platforms.

5) How is the rise of AI & LLMs impacting Substack?

Spill Hamish, spillll 😄

Hi Tom and Michael,

Thank you for sharing this exciting news! I’m really looking forward to this session with Hamish McKenzie next Thursday. It’s a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from the Co-Founder of Substack and learn more about Substack Notes and its role in a writer’s strategy. Thank you so much for making it free to attend.

Looking forward a lot!

1. Why was Substack originally founded? What was your first impulse for founding it?

2. Will you integrate any AI tools into Substack?

3. What would you advise writers from different countries about why and how to publish here?

4. Do you plan any other language mutations as well? (I'm Czech and I have Czech readers).

5. What would you like Substack to look like in 6 months / 1 year / 3 years?

6. What do you do in your free time (if you have any)?

7. What one most important advise would you give to young (in experience) entrepreneurs?
